The Madras High Court will examine the National Green Tribunal’s construction ban within a 1 km radius around Pallikaranai marshland on August 3. Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan have agreed to take up CREDAI-Chennai’s case for final hearing.

The Madras High Court has issued an interim injunction restraining the Election Commission from notifying byelections in five Tamil Nadu constituencies until July 31, 2026.
