- Cuban exiles look to opposition figure Rosa María Payá as hopes for change grow
Cuban exiles in Miami express hope for democratic change in Cuba and look to opposition figure Rosa María Payá as a potential leader. Payá, founder of Cuba Decide, was nominated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to a human rights commission. Her father, Oswaldo Payá, a prominent opposition leader, died in a 2012 crash later investigated by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
