Russian forces launched approximately 1,900 attack drones, 1,600 guided aerial bombs, and 144 missiles against Ukraine over the past week, targeting 16 regions and damaging over 1,500 objects including residential buildings. President Volodymyr Zelensky called for increased sanctions against the Russian defense industry.

A Russian attack drone struck a multi-story residential building in Odesa, injuring two people with thermal burns. The attack followed a nationwide barrage on Aug. 1 involving 35 missiles and 185 drones, during which Ukrainian air defenses intercepted only one missile due to a shortage of Patriot interceptors, causing nine deaths and destruction in Kyiv.

Russia launched 41 missiles and 125 attack drones across Ukraine overnight, targeting the capital, according to the Ukrainian air force. The attack is described as deadly.

Parents are furious over schools installing attack drones to neutralize shooters, expressing concern that the drones might harm children. The initiative has sparked backlash due to safety fears.

Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed it targeted Ukrainian ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk using precision-guided air-launched weapons and attack drones, hitting four vessels. The strikes occurred overnight in Ukraine’s Odesa region.

A US Army company commander used attack drones and C4-packed ground robots to clear a fortified enemy position during an exercise at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The uncrewed systems destroyed mines, trenches, and barriers before soldiers advanced, eliminating enemy resistance and reducing risk to troops.

President Donald Trump accuses Iran of violating a ceasefire agreement by launching four attack drones in the Strait of Hormuz. Three drones were shot down, and a fourth struck a cargo ship, causing damage but allowing it to continue its journey. The incident prompted the International Maritime Organization to pause a planned ship evacuation in the waterway.
