Telegraph takeover by German buyer cleared by culture secretary

The UK culture secretary, Lisa Nandy, has approved Axel Springer's £575m takeover of the Telegraph, ending three years of regulatory uncertainty. She stated there are no grounds to refer the deal to Ofcom for further investigation.
