Yellow poles, or bollards, located at intersections such as 29th at Depew in Wheat Ridge are temporary traffic calming measures designed to create a bulb-out. These structures jut into the roadway to help slow speeding drivers and increase visibility for pedestrians and cyclists. The flexible posts were installed because the city received feedback that drivers were routinely exceeding the posted 30 mph speed limit.
