2 officers accused of violently assaulting couple during traffic stop fired, arrested

Two Phoenix police officers, Antonio Felix and Luis Vasquez Jr., were fired and arrested for allegedly violently assaulting a couple during a traffic stop. Chief Matt Giordano confirmed that investigations found evidence of physical assaults and Taser use against the victims. The former officers are facing multiple charges including kidnapping and aggravated assault, and were also accused of attempting to hinder the subsequent investigation.
