Abortion could return to Supreme Court, this time with a focus on women’s health
U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill ruled that Idaho cannot regulate abortion when a pregnancy threatens physical or mental health. Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador has appealed this decision, which potentially has implications for abortion exceptions nationwide and could eventually go before the U.S. Supreme Court. The ruling is noted as the first such finding since the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health decision in 2022.
