Daycare worker faces charges after allegedly assaulting four-year-old

Gabriella Dowdy, a daycare worker in Catawba County, is accused of assaulting a four-year-old child by allegedly throwing or kicking them into a wall. Court records state that the victim sustained a knot on the head and bruising on the back. Dowdy has been charged with misdemeanor child abuse and assault of a child.
