Congo receives more than 16,000 doses of Ebola vaccine as it grapples with unprecedented outbreak

Congo received over 16,000 doses of the Ervebo Ebola vaccine at Kinshasa, part of an expected total of 70,000 doses from the WHO and partners. The country is struggling with a fast-spreading outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus; however, containment efforts are hampered by armed conflict, attacks on medical personnel, and lack of infrastructure.
