Fire Department Puts Pasadena’s Shockable Cardiac Arrest Survival at 57%
Pasadena reports a 57% survival rate for cardiac arrests with an initial shockable rhythm, according to the City of Pasadena. Fire Chief Chad Augustin compared this rate to 35.9% in Los Angeles County and 34.7% in California. Furthermore, 11.7% of patients from Pasadena survive neurologically intact at hospital discharge.
