Pasadena is expected to have a hot day on Thursday with highs near 98 degrees, followed by a slight cooling trend beginning Friday. Forecasters predict mostly sunny and hot conditions today, but also noted a 20 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms late Thursday night over Los Angeles County.
