Boat captain involved in fatal capsizing detained by ICE

Manuel Hernandez was detained by ICE after piloting an overloaded boat that capsized off Liberty Island on August 8th. The incident resulted in the deaths of Sara Sanchez and her daughter Antonella Garcia, while other victims were hospitalized. Hernandez is charged with two counts of misconduct and neglect of a ship officer resulting in death for allegedly conducting unlicensed tours.
