Stolen bronze statue honoring boy who died from cancer recovered; 2 suspects arrested

Two suspects, Derick Coca and Damian De Los Santos, were arrested in Miami Lakes after allegedly stealing a bronze statue honoring Jakey Duque. The sculpture was reported missing on August 8 but was successfully recovered by detectives from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office on August 12. Both suspects now face charges of grand theft.
