Wayne County domestic violence shelter gets hope, renovations through Lowe’s $100K grant

First Step, a Wayne County nonprofit for survivors of domestic violence, received a $100,000 Lowe’s Community Impact Grant to renovate its residential program. The funding will allow the organization to make major upgrades to its 10 family suites and the laundry room, creating a secure and welcoming environment for families.
