Ex-Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji, architect of growth, dies of illness at 98

Former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji died of illness in Beijing at age 98. He was known for helping ignite China’s economic boom by forcing change on state industry and leading the country into the World Trade Organization. Zhu's leadership as premier from 1998 to 2003 propelled changes that helped transform China into a major global exporter.
