New police division to serve northeast Charlotte

The Charlotte City Council approved spending $3.75 million to purchase land for a new Northeast Division station. This facility will be located at the corner of W.T. Harris Boulevard and Old Statesville Road, as part of plans to split the current North Division into Northwest and Northeast Divisions.
