The best and worst places to build a tech career
The Burning Glass Institute and the Schultz Family Foundation analyzed the career histories of 12 million workers across 1,750 employers from 2019 to 2024, scoring occupations by promotions, retention, and salary. The research suggests that where a person works and the support received there are crucial factors in building a tech career. Among the reviewed companies, Amazon and Salesforce were identified as clear winners for tech workers due to offering high pay and great advancement opportunities.
