Police: Man kills stepson before turning the gun on himself

A man, 74-year-old Stephen Slater, killed his stepson, 49-year-old John D. Norman, before shooting himself in a murder-suicide. The shooting occurred late Saturday afternoon on Graceland Drive in Goodlettsville. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found Slater dead; Norman was taken to Skyline Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
