2 charged with killing couple over $75,000 inheritance, moving into victims’ home
Jamar Propst and Tosha Lewis were charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of conspiracy for allegedly killing Raheim Murray and Carla Murray in their Morganton home. The arrests stemmed from an investigation suggesting the motive was an inheritance of $75,000 belonging to Carla Murray. Following the alleged murders, Propst and Lewis reportedly cleaned up the house, moved the bodies into a Buick, and then lived at the residence.
