Mother passed out from alcohol as toddler sat barely conscious in smoke-filled home, police say
Police found a woman unconscious and highly intoxicated in her smoke-filled Glendale home. The authorities discovered a barely conscious toddler inside, whom they were able to safely remove first. The woman was taken to the hospital and subsequently booked into jail on one count of child abuse after police determined her blood alcohol content was 0.379.
