Mother passed out from alcohol as toddler sat barely conscious in smoke-filled home, police say

According to court documents, a woman was found unconscious due to high blood alcohol content in her home located on Sierra Street. Police discovered the living room filled with smoke from a burned pizza, and her 2-year-old toddler was barely conscious inside. She was subsequently taken to the hospital and booked into jail on one count of child abuse.
