Mexico’s avocado exports to the US shot up 35% during Q1

Mexican avocado exports to the U.S. increased by 35% in Q1 2026, with shipments rising from 370,000 to over 501,000 tonnes. The surge, driven by Super Bowl demand and improved production in states like Michoacán and Jalisco, positioned avocados as Mexico’s second-largest agri-food export to the U.S., valued at over $3.6 billion.
