OpenAI agreed to pay $3.2 million to settle claims by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that it and its subsidiary Statsig favored foreign workers over U.S. applicants for jobs covered by the PERM program. The DOJ alleged that OpenAI discouraged U.S. workers from applying for these positions.
