Edison tower caused deadly Eaton fire that devastated Altadena, long-awaited investigation finds
Southern California Edison's out-of-service utility infrastructure caused a deadly fire in January 2025 that killed 19 people and destroyed much of Altadena, according to an official investigation. The fire, referred to as the Eaton fire, devastated the area.
