Nine Lives, the feral cat that terrorised New Zealand’s rare ducks, is caught after three years

A feral cat named 'Nine Lives' that killed dozens of rare pāteke (brown teal) and other native wildlife in New Zealand was finally caught and killed after evading trappers for three years. The cat is estimated to have wiped out 1% of the pāteke population on the Purerua peninsula near the North Island's top.
