Police rescue hundreds of cats from being eaten in Vietnam with bust of major animal theft ring

Vietnamese police seized over 400 cats in a major bust of a cat meat crime ring in Ho Chi Minh City. More than 40 cats were reunited with owners, but around 100 died due to harsh conditions. The operation highlighted the scale of Vietnam's cat meat trade, with suspects admitting to trapping cats across southern Vietnam over three years.
