Hong Kong warns of scam sites posing as Canada, UK and Thailand e-visa portals
Hong Kong’s privacy watchdog has warned of fraudulent e-visa application websites posing as Canada, UK, and Thailand portals, leading to personal data theft and losses of up to HK$1,700. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data received 16 complaints over three months regarding these suspected scam sites.
