ICE detainee who illegally re-entered US after deportation dies at Delaney Hall
A 41-year-old Salvadoran national, Edwin Lopez-Cornejo, died in federal custody at Delaney Hall Detention Facility after suffering a medical emergency. He had been deported in 2006 and later re-entered the U.S. illegally before being arrested in New Jersey. New Jersey officials condemned the death and called for the facility's closure.
