Red Sox get All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman from AL East rival Orioles
The Boston Red Sox acquired All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for three top prospects and other players. Rutschman, 28, is on the injured list with wrist inflammation and may become a free agent after next season. The Orioles, struggling in the standings, sent catcher Jake Rogers to Boston and received prospects Anthony Eyanson, Kyson Witherspoon, Enddy Azocar, and Carlos Narváez.
