Religious scholar affiliated with JUI-F shot dead in Lower South Waziristan

Maulana Muhammad Ismail, a religious scholar affiliated with the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), was shot dead by unidentified armed men on a motorcycle in Lower South Waziristan after Friday prayers. The police have launched an investigation into the killing, noting previous attacks on JUI-F members this year, including Maulana Muhammad Idrees in May and Maulana Sultan Muhammad Wazir in January.
