India and China revive Himalayan trade at high-altitude pass
India and China have reopened the Nathu La Pass, a high-altitude border crossing between Sikkim state and Tibet region, ending a six-year closure since 2020. The revival of trade at this historic site supports around 600 registered traders in Sikkim who rely on the route.
