India nears completion of strategic Himalayan tunnel near China border
India's Zojila tunnel near the China border is nearing completion, providing all-weather access to Ladakh. The 13.14-kilometre tunnel, part of a broader infrastructure network, connects Jammu and Kashmir with Ladakh and was completed by over 3,000 workers since 2020.
