A White House teleprompter operator, Gabriel Perez, no longer works in the federal government after being placed on unpaid leave for using inside knowledge to bet on President Donald Trump’s speeches via the Kalshi prediction market. The White House called the insider trading 'deeply unfortunate and, frankly, a disgrace,' while Kalshi’s enforcement head confirmed the trades were flagged and referred to regulators.
