Murder suspect on the run after taking off ankle monitor, vanishing before trial, authorities say

James Milton Simpson, a suspect charged with the murder of Richard Proveaux in Alaska, has fled after tampering with his electronic monitoring device. Authorities report Simpson disabled his ankle monitor on May 23 while detained near Wasilla and are offering up to $6,500 for information leading to his arrest.
