Hong Kong’s Asean charm offensive bags US$1.5 billion Malaysian bond listing
Hong Kong's efforts to attract Southeast Asian markets have resulted in a US$1.5 billion Islamic bond listing by the Malaysian government, dual-listed on Bursa Malaysia and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX). This milestone follows a visit by Hong Kong's Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui Ching-yu to Kuala Lumpur.
