Hong Kong’s Asean charm offensive bags US$1.5 billion Malaysian bond listing
Hong Kong's effort to attract Southeast Asian companies has led to a $1.5 billion Malaysian Islamic bond listing, dual-listed on Bursa Malaysia and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX). The bond offering marks the first result of a visit by Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui Ching-yu to Kuala Lumpur last week.
