Chinese energy-storage firms CATL and BYD are competing in the Middle East market, with BYD and Sungrow Power Supply securing a 11.275 GWh energy-storage deal for the Round-The-Clock (RTC) solar project in the United Arab Emirates. CATL had initially been expected to win the contract.
