US Mexico Cattle Imports Reopen After Screwworm Ban, Lifting JBS
The US Department of Agriculture will begin a phased reopening of cattle imports from Mexico starting August 24, 2026, at the Douglas, Arizona port of entry. Only cattle born and raised in Mexico’s Sonora state will be allowed, and the move is expected to benefit JBS.
