Ottawa County man’s ‘employment ended’ weeks before murder-suicide of wife, six children

A man in Ottawa County, Kristopher Karolkiewicz, killed his wife and six children in a murder-suicide before taking his own life. The incident occurred in a burning home in Grand Haven Township, with all eight deaths attributed to gunshot wounds, followed by an intentionally set fire. Karolkiewicz's employment with the American Heart Association ended weeks prior to the tragedy.
