Hong Kong set for stronger storms and wetter winter this year as El Nino intensifies
Hong Kong should prepare for stronger storms and a warmer, wetter winter this year as the current El Nino phenomenon intensifies into a super event, according to Friends of the Earth (HK) and a leading meteorologist. Typhoons are expected to grow more powerful due to rising sea temperatures and increased moisture and energy from El Nino.
