Crews make finishing touches ahead of Gordie Howe Bridge opening at Noon today
The Gordie Howe International Bridge is set to open at Noon today after years of construction, connecting Detroit and Windsor. Drivers will pay a $5.75 toll with a passport or enhanced license, while a toll-free pedestrian path opens August 5. The bridge is the first new international crossing between the cities in nearly a century.
