Federal judge says certain abortion drug restrictions are unlawful
A federal judge ruled that the FDA's 2023 restrictions on mifepristone, an abortion drug, were not sufficiently justified, requiring the agency to reconsider them. The lawsuit, filed by abortion providers in Kansas, Montana, and Virginia, argued the restrictions were excessive and inconsistent with legal requirements. A similar case in Hawaii reached the same conclusion earlier.
