Outbreak of diarrhea-causing parasite linked to 4 more states

Federal health officials expanded the cyclospora parasite outbreak investigation to four additional states (Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania), linked to shredded lettuce from Taco Bell and Taylor Farms. The outbreak now includes 1,947 cases with 98 hospitalizations, though the true count is likely higher. Investigations into supply chains and a separate outbreak in 72 people continue.
