Outbreak of diarrhea-causing parasite linked to 4 more states

Federal health officials linked a cyclospora outbreak tied to shredded lettuce to four additional states, expanding the largest U.S. outbreak to 1,947 cases, including 98 hospitalizations. The CDC, FDA, and state agencies are investigating lettuce from Taylor Farms, which recalled iceberg lettuce from central Mexico, though no deaths have been reported.
