Ex-police officer wanted in wife’s 2005 murder extradited from China to face charges in the US

Ex-police officer Dan Hiers Jr. was extradited from China to the US after being accused of his wife’s 2005 murder and criminal sexual conduct. He fled following her death in 2005, was captured in 2018 under a false name, and returned to face charges in South Carolina with international law enforcement collaboration.
