Ex-police officer wanted in wife’s 2005 murder extradited from China to face charges in the US

Dan Hiers Jr., a former police officer accused of murdering his wife in 2005 and facing additional charges, was extradited from China after evading authorities for nearly 18 years. He was captured in Shanghai under an alias and returned to the United States to face murder and criminal sexual conduct charges in South Carolina.
