China targets new space-based computing network to process data born in orbit
China has unveiled a space-based computing network called Xingshu (Star Hub) designed to process satellite data in orbit using AI before sending results to Earth. The network, to be developed by Fudan University and Shanghai Xingshu Tiansuan Space Technology Co., will consist of around 1,000 satellites.
