Parents, student charged after firearms found on campus of Macomb County school

Two parents and a student were charged after firearms were found on the campus of Merritt Academy in Macomb County. The investigation revealed the student had firearms in a vehicle parked on school property, and the student's mother, who was the school’s dean of students, handled the situation without notifying the assigned school resource officer.
