‘Take your time, save a life’: Broward County school buses getting cameras to catch illegal passers
Broward County school buses are being equipped with AI-powered cameras to enforce laws against illegal passing of stopped school buses. A 30-day grace period ends Sept. 9 before citations of $225 are issued, with citation revenue funding the program. BusPatrol, a private company, covers program costs and receives a portion of each fine.
