Mexican authorities are investigating a scam that depleted Canadian couple Cindy Thompson and Glenn Brown's retirement savings. The couple sent $280,000 to a company co-owned by a British and Mexican national who promised returns on a condo-flip investment in Playa del Carmen, which did not materialize.
